On 13th of November, within the framework of Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Cooperation Program HU-HR / 1901 / 3.1.2 / 0159, the traditional Martin`s Day was organised in Lenti. Thanks to the cooperation, we had guests from Lenti`s partner settlement, Mursko Središće, Croatia.
During this event, the Hungarian and Croatian local producers presented their products while for the youngsters a workshop was organised linked to Martin’s Day. In his greeting speech, László Horváth, the mayor of Lenti, presented the life of St. Martin Bishop and traditional heritage of St. Martin`s Day.
At the event the Svirci Tambura Orchestra from Čakovec prepared a performance, the Bojtár Folk Music Ensemble gave a concert, local Trilla Chamber Choir sang ribs and finally the participants could watch the Kerka Dance Ensemble. At the end of the event all visitors were welcomed welcomed to taste goose delicacies and new wines.
